New Public Art Project @ Green-Wood Cemetery

A 25 YEAR LONG PUBLIC ARTWORK BY SOPHIE CALLE
PRESENTED BY CREATIVE TIME & GREEN-WOOD

Join CREATIVETIME (the folks that brought the political haunted house--and the wooden Statue of Liberty Tank-- to the Brooklyn Army Terminal) on April 29 & 30 for the inauguration of Calle's brand new public project, Here Lie the Secrets of the Visitors of Green-Wood Cemetery, which invites you to unburden your most intimate secrets onto paper and deposit them into the earth below through a slot on a marble obelisk of Calle's design.

Calle herself will be on hand to receive some visitors' secrets, and will return periodically over the next 25 years to exhume and cremate the secrets collected in her absence. If you wish to keep your secret to yourself you may deposit it directly into the obelisk on inaugural weekend or any day thereafter.

This two day inauguration is free and open to the public. Spend the day interring your innermost confessions and exploring Green-Wood's fascinating history through guided walking tours.
