Summer Movies Under The Stars

The Brooklyn Borough is hosting four movies under the stars at Long Meadow North in Prospect Park. The start time is approximately 7:00pm, with the movies beginning shortly after sunset:

·       Wednesday July 22^nd: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

·       Wednesday July 29^th: Where the Wild Things Are

·       Wednesday August 5^th: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay (Part 1)

·       Wednesday August 12^th: Happy Feet

All movies are free of charge, but bring your own blanket!

UncommonFact: Brooklyn’s Prospect Park has also been the setting and location of various films including the Spike Lee Joint, Mo' Better Blues (1990), the Academy Award–winning Wonder Man (1945) starring Danny Kaye, and both Helen Hunt's character in As Good As It Gets (1997) and Meryl Streep's character in Sophie's Choice (1982) lived right by Prospect Park.
