Financial Empowerment Counseling Continues!

As you know UncommonGoods partnered with Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners (NTFP) at the end of 2016 in order to help our seasonal workers achieve financial stability.  You've probably seen Sol or Julianna, the primary financial counselors for UG, around the office or in the cafeteria.  In just November and December they were able to help over 70 workers get started on the path to financial health!

Now that we're in 2017, NTFP will shift to focus on working primarily with our year-round team.  NTFP's financial counselors can help with more than just credit repair and debt reduction - they can also help with long-term savings goal like home buying and retirement.  If you have a question about our 401k program, they can connect you to the right resources.  Similarly, NTFP can help you develop and manage a personal budget to ensure you always have some emergency savings available instead of relying on wage advancements.

As a reminder this service is completely free, confidential, and unbiased. NTFP has been helping New Yorkers achieve financial stability for over 20 years.  Whatever financial goals you may have, NTFP can help you achieve them.

Our financial counselor, Sol Vilera-Ramos, will be available in the 7th floor break room every Wednesday from 10am to 6pm.  Feel free to stop by for a walk-in session or make an appointment in advance by registering online at www.neighborhoodtrust.org/es.  If you have any questions you can reach NTFP at (929) 251-4625 or appointment@neighborhoodtrust.org.
