B With Us: Catchafire

June Anniversaries
Happy work anniversary to our team members who joined us in
June! Thanks to each of you for your time and service to our team and
community.

for 144 company snacks:
Shao Li,
Operations 48 company snacks (4 years)
Jay Bui, Technology: 36 company snacks (3 years)
Ryan Campbell,
Operations: 24 company snacks (2 years)
Kate Bisantz,
Creative: 24 company snacks (2 years)
June Birthdays
A happy birthday to all our Team Members with June
Birthdays! This month we have a whopping 3 pairs of team members with the same
birthday. UncommonStats:
- With only a small group of people (say 23), there is a pretty good chance (50%) that at least two of those people have the same birthday.
- It takes a very large number of people (around 850) to have a greater than 90% chance that someone has the same birthday as you. This may also seem counter-intuitive given that there are only 366 possible different birthdays, counting the leap day. (Source: mc3.edu)

Within Five: Park Slope CSA
UncommonGoods
is located within five miles of unique community businesses, organizations, and resources that are worthy of
exploration. Every “Within Five” post will focus on a spot within five miles of
UncommonGoods that dares to be different and/or does good.
This week's Within Five focus is Park Slope Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). A CSA is a partnership between a community and a farm. Farmers get a guaranteed income and market for their produce, while the community gets great local, organic food in return. The Park Slope CSA season begins June 9, just 3.5 miles from the Brooklyn Army Terminal. The CSA offers two options for buy-in, a full share (weekly) or a share every other week. For further information, please visit the Park Slope CSA website.
