Solar Eclipse: 8/21
On August 21, a solar eclipse will occur where about 99.4% of the Sun will be covered in certain parts of the U.S. (not including our area). I was going to write more about where it will be seen in NYC, but then I found this link about the eclipse on The Gothamist, which has it covered. Spoiler alert (or cliff notes version of the article): we will see a partial eclipse, where around 71% of the Sun will be blocked by the Moon. This will begin at 1:23 and end at 4 p.m.
